New Frontier Minerals (ASX:NFM) has reported exceptional assay results from exploration at its Harts Range Project in the NT, revealing significant potential for heavy rare earth elements (HREEs), niobium, and tantalum.
The latest findings come from two newly identified prospects, Paddington and Westminster, located to the west of the previously discovered Bobs Prospect.
Harts Range a multi-commodity resource
Outcrop sampling at the Paddington prospect delivered outstanding assay results, notably including 10.61% total rare earth oxides (TREO), along with high concentrations of magnet rare earth elements such as dysprosium (1.28% Dy₂O₃) and terbium (0.22% Tb₄O₇).
These rare earths are critical for advanced technology applications such as electric vehicles and renewable energy. Paddington also returned impressive results for niobium (23.56% Nb₂O₅) and tantalum (15.67% Ta₂O₅), indicating significant multi-commodity potential.
The Westminster prospect (~450m west of Bobs) had similarly promising results, yielding 7.46% TREO and an exceptionally high heavy rare earth ratio of 96.69%.
